A link to netFormulary will launch the Home Page, part of which is shown below.
Home Page
The home page provides a link to the main formulary information, a link to recent changes and a link to the content management system via an admin button. As well as all this a search option is made available throughout the software to enable fast access to information within the formulary database.

The text on this page is managed from the admin section allowing users to amend this as required, Typically an introduction to the formulary would be placed here.
The "News" button provides users with detail relating to recent additions, updates and deletions made to the formulary. This is automatically built by the system as users make amendments.
Selecting the Chapters
This takes you into the main formulary. You are provided with a list of the main chapters within the formulary. In the demo I have added the main 16 chapters from the BNF but these chapters are fully configurable by yourself within the formulary content management system.

Selecting chapter 3 will bring up the following information, this image is a screen captured from half way down the page.

The system calculates the number of items within each subsection - here I have used the subsections within chapter 3 of the bnf but again you can amend these. Sections without any items in them are grayed out but as shown here section 03.04.01 has 2 Non-sedating antihistamines and 5 sedating ones.
As well as having control over the chapter titles you can also add comments to be displayed whenever someone selects the chapter. You will find examples of this when you try to online demo.
Selecting the Non-sedating link..

Here you can see that the three items within the Non-sedating antihistamines are shown. The top one is highlighted with green background indicating that it is the preferred option. A key is provided to the symbols as a guide, you will see this on the online demo.
The SPC and BNF link will select the first word in the text and search the online resources which are already freely available to you, again this is configurable.
Here you will notice that as other items are available within Antihistamines there is an Expand Section button (top left) pressing this expands the results to show the full section.

You can also clearly see that Alimemazine tartrate (trimeprazine tartrate) syrup is restricted for paediatric use only.
Search..
From any of the search boxes you can enter a free text search term to search your formulary.
The search looks across.
