
netFormulary | ManagenetFormulary comes with a complete content management system to allow you to add, update and delete records from the systems database. All edits are recorded in the audit file and and are available to view from the systems front page. The system comes with a log on username and password giving access to the system editors that are available in the admin section, a link to this is on all pages. Once you have logged on you will be taken to the admin section where you can.
Main editing menu options.
Adding productsFrom the Main Drug List row select the Add button. You will then be asked to select a chapter.
Selecting a chapter you are then asked to select a sub chapter.
You are then taken to the add record page
On this form you enter all the details you want. The formulary status options are Formulary, Non-formulary or restricted use. The Preferred Drug In Catalogue options are Standard, 1st Choice and 2nd Choice. Entering a Trade name puts the trade name in italics with the registered trade make symbol after the drug name. On this page you also add up to four external references and additional information that is added to the audit file relating to the addition.
Once added you are taken back to the sub chapter selection page so that you can add another item. This allows you to quickly add your items on the database. Editing Your Formulary.Selecting the Edit button in the Main Drugs List row will take you to the normal Browse formulary pages, however this time you will see an You now need to find the item you want to edit either by searching or browsing the database. In this example I have searched for loop and it has returned the loop diuretics section. Notice the two buttons before the drug name. These are and edit button and delete item button. Selecting one of these options takes you to the editor or delete forms. Once you have completed your edit you are returned to the main formulary on the same page so that you can continue editing.
Editing Chapters.Editing the main chapters and sub chapters of netFormulary is very similar. From the Main admin menu select the edit option and you will be taken to the editing pages.
Select the section you want to edit and you will be presented with an editor.
It is possible to have up to 30 main chapters on the system as well as an infinite number of sub chapters. You need to contact inNottingham in order to activate these chapters. Making additions to the sub chapter listing also requires you to contact inNottingham. InNottingham will either provide you with a small script to update the database or talk you through how to do it manually. The timescales for this depend on your subscription level but generally this will be done within 2 working days. Remember it is possible to edit existing chapters and subchapters so if you have a section you no longer use you can change the description if you wish instead of adding a new one.
